Both new, state-of-the-art facilities will offer expanded production capacity and ability to meet a wider variety of customer requirements. Archer Daniels Midland Company (ADM) celebrated the opening of its new, high-tech feed facility in Glencoe, Min- nesota. The company also announced that it is investing to expand and modernize its pet food and specialty live- stock feed operations in Effingham, Illinois. The Glencoe plant now has annual capacity approaching 100,000 tons. It also has more than 30,000 square feet of warehouse space to provide products on demand. Twenty one sepa- rate bulk ingredient bins and 28 finished feed bins in the plant allow for fresh finished feed when needed. It is stated that the new plant features a unique, patented, cold-pel- leting system for efficient, consistent pelleted products. Considering the new pet food facility in Illinois, the com- pany states that the facility will feature automation within receiving, batching, packaging, and loadout sections; multiline batching with simultaneous weighing; metal de- tection and protection from receiving to packaging. "We are continuing to expand our capabilities to meet the needs of animal nutrition customers around the globe," said Brent Fenton, president of ADM Animal Nutrition. "With these new plants, we will be positioned to grow with our customers, helping support them as they succeed. We are excited about these investments to grow and improve our ADM Animal Nutrition business, and we are looking forward to sharing the benefits with our customers." Yeni tesisin etkili ve tutarlı peletler için benzersiz ve patentli soğuk peletleme sistemini barındırdığı da belirtiliyor. Şirket, Il- linois’daki yeni hayvan yemi tesisi ile ilgili olarak tesisin alım, harmanlama, paketleme ve yük indirme bölümlerin- de otomatik kontrol sağlayacağını ifade ediyor.
