Sözleşmeli danelik mısır ekimi için çalışma başlatan Kayseri Şeker, çiftçilere yüksek verimli mısır tohumu dağıttı. Kayseri Seker took action for corn, one of the most important raw materials of feed sector. Starting the works for planting contracted dent corn in 2016 sea- son, Kayseri Seker distibuted high-yield potential corn seeds to the farmers. Develi district was chosen as the pilot area for the dent corn production to be supported by Kayseri Seker from planting to harvest pursuant to contracted agriculture. Kayseri Beet Planters Cooperative distributed "Du Pont Pioneer P0573 corn seed" with high-yield poten- tial, "Limagrain Lg 30.597 hybrid" that does not have soil pickiness and have very high yield potential, and early comer "DKC 5783" corn seed with high yield po- tential to the farmers in Develi district. With this project, the aim is to domestically supply the dent corn that meets the increasing hybrid feed need in husbandry sector. Kayseri Şeker, yem sektörünün en önemli hammadde- lerinden biri olan mısır için harekete geçti. 2016 yılı ekim döneminde sözleşmeli danelik mısır ekimi gerçekleştirmek çalışma başlatan Kayseri Şeker, çiftçilere yüksek verim po- tansiyeline sahip tohum dağıtımı yaptı. Ekiminden hasadına kadar her aşamada Kayseri Şeker tarafından sözleşmeli tarım kapsamında destek görecek da- nelik mısır üretimi için pilot bölge olarak Develi ilçesi seçildi. Kayseri Pancar Ekicileri Kooperatifi tarafından, Develi ilçe- sindeki çiftçilere yüksek verim potansiyeline sahip ‘Du Pont Pioneer P0573 Mısır Tohumu’, toprak seçiciliği olmayıp çok yüksek verim potansiyeline sahip ‘Limagrain Lg 30.597 hib- rid’ tohumu ile erkenci olması yanında verim potansiyeli çok yüksek ‘DKC 5783’ mısır tohumu dağıtımı yapıldı. Bu projeyle birlikte hayvancılık sektöründe artan karma yem talebi ihtiyacını karşılayan danelik mısırın yurt içinden karşılanması hedefleniyor. Emphasising that Turkey's need for roughage is huge, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Yasar Holding, Selim Yasar said that quality and affordable roughage production is a must for the future of husbandry. Re- marking the necessity of creating alternatives to find a solution for the structural problems of husbandry, Yas- ar said: "We established an R&D center in Hedef Farm. We work on roughage. We especially research for ac- climatized plants with high protein and dry matter. The summers in our country is arid, we need to develop new roughage types so as to compete and decrease the costs. We compare the ex- amples from the world with our own. We seek the ways through which we an benefit from our own, endemic plants. We benefit from Prof. Dr Zhu Zhaohua's stuies on agriculture beneath tree, energy and roughage. Hayvancılıkta yapısal problemlere çözüm bulmak için alternatifler üretme ge- rekliliğine dikkat çeken Ya- şar, şunları aktardı: "Hedef Çiftliğinde bir Ar-Ge mer- kezi kurduk. Yem bitkileri üzerinde çalışıyoruz. Özel- likle protein, kuru madde açısından zengin ve iklime uygun bitkileri araştırıyoruz. Ülkemiz yazın kurak geçiyor, rekabet edebilmek ve mali- yeti düşürebilmek için yeni yem bitki türleri geliştirmemiz gerekiyor. Dünyadaki örneklerle, bizdeki örnekleri karşı- laştırıyoruz. Kendimize özgü, endemik bitkilerden nasıl yararlanırız onlara bakıyoruz. Prof. Dr. Zhu Zhaohua’nın ağaç altı ziraat, enerji ve yem bitkileriyle ilgili çalışma- larından faydalanıyoruz. Hem enerji bitkisi hem de yem bitkileri konusunda, ülkemizde neler yapabiliriz bunları değerlendiriyoruz."
