DDGS’ler genellikle mavnalardan Okyanus gemilerine nehir or- tasındaki seyyar yükleyiciler vasıtasıyla yüklenir. Mavna ve gemi navlun maliyetleri alıcılar için ek bir maliyettir. En yaygın gemi boyutları sırasıyla handy size, handy max ve panamax’tır. Tonajları sırasıyla 20-30.000, 35-49.000 ve 50- 75.000 mt dur. Konteyner navlunu her zaman ithalatçı ülke için uygun olma- yabilir. Düşük konteyner maliyetleri için ithalatçı ülke, konteynerler ile menşe ülkeye bazı mallar ihraç edebiliyor olmalıdır. Amerika Birleşik Devletleri şu anda dünyanın en büyük konteyner ithalatçı- sı olarak benzersiz bir avantaja sahiptir. Elektronik, tekstil, oto ye- dek parçaları vb. ile dolu konteynerler öncelikle Asya'dan ABD'ye geliyor ve malların aynı tür ürünler ile yeniden yüklenmesi için bu bölgeye geri sevk edilmesi gerekiyor. Bu geri dönüş esnasında konteyner navlun maliyetleri çok düşük olmaktadır. Genel bir kural olarak, dökme gemilerin navlun fiyatları, kontey- nere göre daha az pahalı, daha güvenilir ve genellikle DDGS’nin kalitesi kontrol etmek açısından da daha kolaydır. DDGS İTHALATINDA BAŞARI ÖNERİLERİ İthalatçıların ihracatçı firmanın üretim, lojistik ve nakliye yete- neklerini bilmeleri gerekir. Belirli etanol tesislerinin DDGS ürün- lerini pazarlayan tedarikçi firmalar ürünlerin orijinleri hakkında kontrol sahibi oldukları gibi yüklenecek olan DDGS ürünlerinin kalitesini de kontrol edebilmektedirler. Brokerlardan veya eta- nol tesisleri ile doğrudan pazarlama anlaşması olmayan diğer tedarikçiler ile alışveriş yapan alı- cılar, teslim edilen DDGS'nin kali- tesini kolayca kontrol edemezler. Tedarik kaynaklarını kontrol eden DDGS satan firmaların, yükleme sırasında DDGS numunelerini test için saygın ticari laboratuvarlara göndermeleri ve sonuçları bir gemi veya ambar yüklenmeden önce doğrudan müşteriye gönderme- leri mümkün olmaktadır. Boşaltma limanında olası sorunları önlemek için numune analizi için saygın bir üçüncü taraf ticari laboratuvarı be- lirlemek ve bu konuda anlaşmak yapmak önemlidir. Mikotoksin testi menşeinde elde edilen numuneler üzerinde yapılabilir veya tedarikçi DDGS'nin üretildiği etanol tesislerinde kullanılan mısır alım prosedürleri ve limitlerini alıcıya bildirebilir. Renk puanları da Hunter veya Minolta renk puanı ölçümleri kullanılarak DDGS müşterisine bilgi verilebilir. Garanti edilen Protein ve yağ değer- Container freight is not always suitable for the importer country. The importer country should be exporting some merchandise by containers to the origin country. The United States is currently the world’s largest container importer, which put it in a very unique situa- tion. Containers filled with electronics, textiles, auto parts, etc. arrive in the U.S. primarily from Asia and they need to be shipped back to that region in order to be re-loaded with the same types of goods. As a general rule, use of bulk vessels is less expensive, more de- pendable and usually easier to control DDGS quality. SUGGESTIONS FOR SUCCESS IN IMPORTING DDGS Importers should understand the exporting company’s produc- tion, logistical and transportation capabilities. Suppliers whomarket for specific ethanol plants have control over the origin of DDGS sources and can more easily control the quality of DDGS that is delivered. Buyers who purchase through brokers or other suppliers that do not have direct marketing agreements with ethanol plants cannot easily control the quality of DDGS being deliv- ered. It is also possible for DDGS marketers that control the supply sources to send DDGS samples at the time of origination, to repu- table commercial laboratories for testing and send results directly to the customer before a vessel or hold is loaded. It is important to identify and agree on a reputable third party commercial laboratory for sample analysis to avoid potential problems upon arrival at the destination. Mycotoxin testing can be conducted on samples ob- tained at origin, or the supplier can provide the procedures and limits for corn used at the ethanol plants where the DDGS was produced. Color scores can also be determined for the DDGS customer us- ing Hunter or Minolta color score measurements. Protein and fat guarantees should always be agreed upon before concluding a trade. TURKEY’S DDGS IMPORTS As shown in Graph-4, Turkey has been importing DDGS since 2005. While it had a trend of increasing every year, the trend was interrupted by the GMO law announcement in 2010. Due to the concerns about the rejection of cargo, the import development has been slow. But the imports almost doubled in 2016 and Turkey had the record import of DDGS in 2017 with 1.8 mln mt when the DDGS prices were the most fa- vorable because of the adverse effects of China tax barriers. Then we had a decreasing trend each year after 2017. The import quanti- ties realized as 1.2 mln mt and 830,000 mts in 2018 and 2019 re- spectively. This year in spite of the covid-19 problems, the expected DDGS import is expected to be around 1.1 mln mt. Graph-4 / Grafik -4
