In this process, both governments and the private sector should consider food safety and security issues beyond immediate solutions and address them with medium and long-term projects. In this context, agriculture, livestock and feed sectors should be evaluated with a holistic perspective. 2020 gündemini domine eden COVID-19, yeni yılda artçı etkilerini sürdüre- cek gibi görünüyor. Bu süreçte gerek hükümetler gerekse özel sektör, gıda güvenliği ve güvencesi konularını acil çözümlerin ötesinde değerlendirerek orta ve uzun vadeli projelerle ele almalıdır. Bu bağlamda tarım, hayvancılık ve yem sektörleri bütüncül bir bakış açısıyla değerlendirilmelidir. Koronavirüs ve Yem Güvenliği The pandemic, which caused alarm bells to ring all over the world since the beginning of last year, caused supply chains to break with the effect of the first shock. Following the panic, the emptying of the market shelves and the dramatic changes in consumption habits were enough to for food to become the focus of not only developing countries but also the whole world. The governments and the private sec- tor, which survived the initial shock and have largely normalized the supply chains, are partially relieved thanks to the positive developments in vaccination. However, stockpiling and protectionist reflexes in the field of food, especially with the pandemic, have reached the highest level. While pro- ducer and exporter countries impose re- strictions and additional taxes on exports, importing countries also worry about re- plenishing their stocks under these condi- tions. Priorities regarding food safety and security need to be reconsidered, taking into account the pandemic conditions. In this context, feverish work awaits the stakeholders of the feed industry. Geçtiğimiz yılın başlarından itibaren tüm dünyada alarm zillerinin çalmasına neden olan pandemi, ilk şokun etkisiyle tedarik zincirlerinin kopmasına sebep olmuştu. Yaşanan paniğin ardından market rafla- rının boşalması, tüketim alışkanlıklarında yaşanan şok değişiklikler gıda konusunun sadece gelişmekte olan ülkelerin değil tüm dünyanın odak noktasına yerleştir- meye yetmişti. İlk sarsıntıyı atlatan ve tedarik zincir- lerinin büyük ölçüde normale döndüren başkentler ve özel sektör, aşı konusun- da gelen olumlu gelişmelerin de etkisiyle kısmen rahatlamış durumda. Ancak pan- demide, tahıl başta olmak üzere gıda ala- nında stokçuluk ve korumacı refleksler hat safhaya çıktı. Üretici ve ihracatçı konu- munda olan ülkeler ihracata kısıtlama ve ek vergiler getirirken, ithalatçı ülkeler de bu şartlar altında stoklarını doldurma kay- gısı güdüyor. Gıda güvenliği ve güvence- sine dair önceliklerin pandemi şartlarının da hesaba katılarak yeniden ele alınması gerekmektedir. Bu kapsamda yem sektö- rünün paydaşlarını da hummalı bir çalış- ma beklemektedir. Coronavirus and Feed Safety
