Endüstri 4.0’ın beraberinde getirdiği zorunlu- luklar yeniye adapte olmayı ve sürekli gelişimi üretimin ayrılmaz bir parçası hâline getiriyor. The process we are going through glob- ally has accelerated the technology that has been developing already at a dizzying speed. For example; although virtual fairs and online meetings were on the agenda in the pre-CO- VID-19 period, they have become a reality of life. Even if the world gets rid of the pandemic, these signs of progress have now reached an irreversible stage. Industry stakeholders connected with tech- nology are working on innovation to over- come the challenges they face in the feed industry. These areas can be listed as feed technologies, packaging, animal breeding, health and welfare, and developing sustain- able and effective feed additives. As the feed market is expected to grow in the coming years depending on the increas- ing demand for animal products, the industry is working towards certain targets, including sustainable feed ingredients/additives and ef- ficient feed production practices. In the com- ing years, R&D and innovation will bring the feed industry one step closer to these goals. Innovation in the Feed Industry Yem Endüstrisinde İnovasyon Küresel olarak içerisinden geçtiğimiz süreç, baş döndürücü bir hızla gelişen teknolojiyi daha da ivmelendirdi. Söz gelimi; sanal fuarlar ve çevrimiçi toplantılar COVID-19 öncesi sü- reçte de gündemde olan birer olgu iken artık hayatın bir gerçeği haline geldi. Öyle ki, salgın tamamen sona erse dahi bu ilerleme artık geri döndürülemez bir safhaya ulaşmış durumda. Teknolojiyle bağlantılı olan sektör pay- daşları, yem endüstrisiyle ilgili karşılaştıkları zorlukları aşmak için inovasyon çalışmaları yapmaktadır. Çalışılan alanlar arasında yem teknolojileri, paketleme, hayvan yetiştirme, sağlık ve refah, sürdürülebilir ve etkili yem katkı maddelerinin belirlenmesi bulunuyor. Hayvansal ürünlere olan talebe bağlı ola- rak yem pazarının önümüzdeki yıllarda bü- yümesi beklendiğinden sanayi, sürdürülebi- lir yem bileşen / katkı maddeleri ve verimli yem üretim uygulamalarının arasında olduğu belli hedefler doğrultusunda çalışmaktadır. Gelecek yıllarda AR&GE ve inovasyon, yem sanayisini bu amaçlara doğru bir adım daha yaklaştıracaktır.
