The opening speech was made by Ülkü Karakuş, President of TÜRKİYEM-BİR. Giving information about the history of the organization and its significance for the sector, President Ülkü Karakuş stated that he was happy to come together under the roof of TUYEM, which is held every two years under normal conditions, albeit with a delay. On the occasion of the 50th an- niversary of the feed industry, he informed that the next orga- nization was planned for next year without waiting for 2025. Within the scope of the first day program, economist İsmet Gergerli made a presentation titled “World Agenda and Reflec- tions on Our Economy” and gave tips on access to finance, one of the main issues for traders and producers. Afterwards, a pre- sentation titled “Our Feed Industry and Its Future in the 100th Year of Our Republic” was moderated by President Ülkü Kara- kuş. In order to better express the stages through which the Turkish feed industry has passed from the past to the present, doyens from every decade of the industry were asked to speak at the panel, and it was noted that the feed industry was even one step ahead of the food industry and completed its privati- zation very early. The panelists who shared their experiences were Dr. Sait Koca (Beypiliç), Dr. M. Ali Tanör (Optima Feed), Dr. Durali Koçak (General Directorate of Food and Control) and Önder Matlı (Proyem). The day ended with the presentation of plaques to the leading names of the sector and the sponsors of the organization. On April 29, three presentations were made under the mo- deration of Prof. Dr. Nizamettin Şenköylü, a veterean of the feed industry. The first presentation was made by Prof. Dr. Nazan Ko- luman from Çukurova University Faculty of Agriculture on clima- te change, a topic closely related to many sectors around the world. In her presentation titled “The Effects of Climate Change on the Feed Sector”, Prof. Koluman gave information on the con- sequences of the lowering of ground water, changes in average Açılış konuşmasını TÜRKİYEM-BİR Başkanı Ülkü Karakuş yaptı. Organizasyonun geçmişi ve sektör için yeri ve önemi konusunda bilgi veren Başkan Ülkü Karakuş, normal şartlar altında iki yılda bir gerçekleşen TUYEM çatısı altında gecik- meli de olsa bir araya gelmenin mutluluğunu yaşadığını ifade etti. Yem sektörünün 50. yılı münasebetiyle, bir sonraki orga- nizasyon için 2025’i beklemeden önümüzdeki yıl için planla- ma yapıldığı bilgisini verdi. Birinci gün programı kapsamında “Dünya Gündemi ve Eko- nomimize Yansımaları” başlıklı bir sunum yapan ekonomist İs- met Gergerli, tüccarlar ve üreticiler için temel meselelerden biri olan finansmana erişime dair ipuçları verdi. Daha sonra Başkan Ülkü Karakuş moderatörlüğünde “Cumhuriyetimizin 100. Yılında Yem Sanayimiz ve Geleceği” başlıklı bir sunum gerçekleştirildi. Yem sektörünün geçmişinden bugüne hangi aşamalardan geçtiğini daha iyi ifade edebilmek adına sektö- rün her döneminden duayen isimlere mikrofon uzatılan pa- nelde, yem sektörünün gıdadan dahi bir adım önde gittiği ve özelleştirmesini çok erken tamamladığı bilgisine yer verildi. Panelde, tecrübeleri aktaran isimler: Dr. Sait Koca (Beypiliç), Dr. M. Ali Tanör (Optima Yem), Dr. Durali Koçak (Gıda ve Kont- rol Genel Müdürlüğü) ve Önder Matlı (Proyem) şeklinde sıra- landı. Gün, sektörün önde gelen isimleri ve organizasyonun sponsorlarına plaket verilmesiyle sona erdi. 29 Nisan günü ise, yem sektörünün kıymetli ismi Prof. Dr. Nizamettin Şenköylü’nün moderatörlüğünde üç sunum ya- pıldı. İlk sunum, Çukurova Üniversitesi Ziraat Fakültesi’nden Prof. Dr. Nazan Koluman tarafından dünya genelinde birçok sektörü yakından ilgilendiren iklim değişikliği hakkında oldu. Prof. Koluman “İklim Değişikliğinin Yem Sektörüne Etkileri” başlıklı sunumunda taban suyunun alçalmasının sonuçları, ortalama sıcaklıklardaki değişiklikler ve iklim döngüsündeki değişiklikler konusunda bilgi verildi.
