Flour production capa- city is estimated to increase by 3 million tons by 2025 due to rapidly increasing wheat flour consumption. In the country’s feed industry, 110 modern plants produce over 30 million tons annually, and there is a need to increase production capacity every year in line with growing demand. The situa- tion is similar in the regional countries of Malaysia, Vietnam, Australia, the Philippines, New Zealand, Thailand, India, Chi- na, New Guinea and Myanmar. In this context, we have all ex- perienced together the crucial importance of countries being able to store and produce the grain products they need within their own borders. We are operating in an important sector that transforms grain and pulses products, which are one of the most important basic food needs and can be stored for a long time, into products that can be used by the end consumer. I would like to underline that IDMA is not only a trade show, but also serves food safety and food access. Hızla artan nüfusun proteine olan talebi de düzenli olarak yükseliş gösteri- yor. 2030 yılında proteine talebinin yüzde 70 artması beklendiğini göz önünde bulundurursak, küresel iklim değişiklikleri ve kuraklıklarla müca- dele eden insanlığın, önemli protein kaynağı tahıl ve bakliyat üretimine olan bağlılığının artacağını söyleyebiliriz. Tarımsal üretim kadar önemli diğer bir konu ise, üretilen emtiaların ekonomiye kazandırılması ve tüketici- ye ulaştırılması. Bu bağlamda ülkelerin ihtiyaç duydukları tahıl ürünlerini kendi sınırları içerisinde depolayabilmesinin ve üre- tebilmesinin önemini hep birlikte deneyimledik. Temel gıda ihtiyacının başında gelen ve uzun süre depolanabilen tahıl ve bakliyat ürünlerini nihai tüketicinin kullanabileceği hale dö- nüştüren önemli bir sektörde faaliyet gösteriyoruz. İDMA’nın sadece ticari bir fuar olmadığının, aynı zamanda gıda güven- liğine ve gıda erişimine hizmet ettiğinin altını çizmek isterim. Fuarlarımızla eşzamanlı olarak düzenlediğimiz ve sektörün kanaat önderlerini bir araya getirdiğimiz Tahıl, Bakliyat ve Yem Zirveleriyle sürdürülebilir üretim, gıda güvenliği ve erişi-
