FEED PLANET • SEPTEMBER - EYLÜL 2024 52 THE DOME’S STRENGTH LIES IN ITS GEOMETRY The dome is nature’s perfectly strong shape, and capita- lizing on its geometry yields an unusually strong manmade structure. Once the foundation system is established, a ring beam is constructed at ground level to form the foundation for the dome. Tunnels too are formed as needed for the material-handling processes. The PVC airform, custom sized based on the customers’ specifications, is bolted to the ring beam and inflated, for- ming the exterior dome shape; the fabric will remain in place indefinitely as it becomes the outer waterproofing membrane. With the airform inflated, polyurethane foam insulation is applied to the inside. Premat steel is installed to create a grid across the entire dome surface. This premat reinfor- cing is embedded in the cover concrete and provides ini- tial strength to the structure and a substrate to attach the structural reinforcing steel. Concrete is placed using the shotcrete method. To meet the United States’ need for safety shelters, Dome Technology has constructed multiple emergency shelters, which must meet stringent Federal Emergency Management Agency requirements, including the ability to withstand pro- jectiles and their impact force. All Dome Technology’s do- mes, commercial or industrial, resist high impact loads witho- ut requiring interior beams. In addition, domes can resist high external loads like wind from a natural disaster. KUBBEN N GÜCÜ GEOMETR S NDE YATIYOR Kubbe, doğanın mükemmel derecede güçlü bir yapısıdır ve geometrisinden yararlanmak, alışılmadık derecede sağlam bir insan yapımı yapı ortaya çıkarır. Temel sistemi oluşturulduktan sonra, kubbe için temel oluşturmak amacıyla zemin seviyesinde bir halka kirişi inşa edilir. Malzeme taşıma süreçleri için gerekir- se tüneller de oluşturulur. Müşterilerin spesifikasyonlarına göre özel olarak boyutlan- dırılan PVC hava formu, halka kirişine cıvatalanır ve şişirilerek dış kubbe şeklini oluşturur; bu kumaş, dış su yalıtım membranı olarak süresiz olarak yerinde kalacaktır. Hava formu şişirildikten sonra, iç kısmına poliüretan köpük izolasyonu uygulanır. Tüm kubbe yüzeyi boyunca bir ızgara oluşturmak için premat çeliği monte edilir. Bu premat takviye, kaplama betonuna gömülür ve yapıya başlangıçta güç sağlar ve yapısal takviye çeliğini bağlamak için bir alt tabaka oluş- turur. Beton, şatkrit (püskürtme beton) yöntemi kullanılarak yerleştirilir. Dome Technology’nin tüm kubbeleri, ticari veya endüstriyel olsun, iç kirişler gerektirmeden yüksek darbe yüklerine dayanır.
