Turkey reports rise in slaughtered chickens, decline in egg TÜİK: Kesilen tavuk sayısı arttı, yumurta üretimi düştü According to figures obtained from the monthly survey con- ducted by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT) among commercial poultry enterprises, chicken meat production in June 2025 was 202,521 tonnes, while chicken egg production was 1.52 billion units. Compared to the same month of the previ- ous year, chicken egg production decreased by 10.4%, while the number of slaughtered chickens rose by 10.4% and chickenmeat production by 13.9%. In the January–June period, chicken egg production fell by 10.4%, while the number of slaughtered chic- kens increased by 10.9% and chicken meat production by 14.1%. Compared to the previous month, chicken meat production decreased by 16.2% from241,782 tonnes to 202,521 tonnes. Chic- ken egg production declined by 0.6%, falling from 1.526 billion units to 1.518 billion. The report published on TURKSTAT’s website noted that backyard poultry was not included in the figures. DRINKING MILK PRODUCTION UP 28.7% According to TURKSTAT’s monthly report on milk and dairy products, commercial dairies collected 934,745 tonnes of cow’s Türkiye İstatistik Kurumu’nun (TÜİK) ticari kanatlı işletme- lerine uygulanan aylık anket çalışmasından elde ettiği veri- lere göre Haziran 2025’te tavuk eti üretimi 202 bin 521 ton, tavuk yumurtası üretimi ise 1,52 milyar adet oldu. Bir önceki yılın aynı ayına göre tavuk yumurtası üretimi %10,4 azalırken, kesilen tavuk sayısı %10,4 ve tavuk eti üretimi %13,9 arttı. Ocak-Haziran döneminde tavuk yumurtası üretimi %10,4 düşüş gösterirken, kesilen tavuk sayısı %10,9 ve tavuk eti üretimi %14,1 artış kaydetti. Bir önceki aya göre tavuk eti üretimi 241 bin 782 tondan %16,2 azalarak 202 bin 521 tona indi. Tavuk yumurtası üre- timi ise 1 milyar 526 milyon 665 bin adetten %0,6 düşüşle 1 milyar 518 milyon 267 bin adede geriledi.
