In this way, the company continues its commitment to growth in the United States and Canadian markets. Firma bu sayede ABD ve Kanada piyasalarındaki büyümesini ve gelişmesini de- vam ettirmeyi planlıyor. Non-GMO Project is a non-profit organization that fo- cuses on educating consumers of products containing genetically modified organisms. The organization be- gan as an initiative of natural food retailers in the United States and Canada, with the objective of labelling food in accordance with its standards. The stated mission of Non-GMO Project is to preserve and create non-GMO product sources, educate consum- ers and provide verified options for non-GMO products. In addition, it provides verification and labelling of third parties for food and non-genetically modified products. The project also works with food manufacturers, distribu- tors, producers and seed suppliers to develop standards for the detection of genetically modified organisms and to reduce the risk of contaminating the supply of food not genetically modified with genetically modified organisms. The verification process was rigorous but as expected, BTSA’s natural antioxidants and vitamin E passed the veri- fication process and are already part of the list of products verified by Non-GMO Project. With this new certification, the company, which in June 2018 opened its subsidiary in the United States, goes one step further in its efforts to promote natural ingredients in the US and Canadian food, nutraceutical, cosmetic, and pet food industries. Söz konusu kuruluş, gıdaları stan- dartlarına uygun bir şekilde etiketlendirme şek- linde ifade edilebilecek olan faaliyetlerine ABD ve Kanada’da başladı. Non-GMO Project’in bahsi geçen misyonu GSO’suz ürün kaynaklarını korumak ve üretmek, tüketicileri bi- linçlendirmek. Buna ek olarak ise, gıda ve genetiği değiştirilmemiş ürünler için üçüncü taraflara onay ve etiket temin ediyor. Proje gıda üreticileri, dağıtıcıları ve tohum tedarikçileri ile ilgili GDO’lu ürünleri tespit etmek için standartlar geliştirmek ve GDO’lu ürünlerle GDO’suz gıdaların GDO’lu gıdalarla karıştırılmaması için de çalışmalar yapıyor. Onay süreci sıkı olsa da, BTSA’nın doğal antiok- sidanları ve E vitamini beklendiği gibi onay sürecini başarıyla geçti ve Non-GMO Project’in onaylı ürünler listesindeki yerini çoktan aldı. Bu yeni onayla birlik- te, geçtiğimiz yılın Haziran ayında ABD’de bayi açan BTSA, ABD ve Kanada gıda, nutrasötik, kozmetik ve mama endüstrilerindeki doğal içeriklerin tanıtımı açı- sından bir adım daha atmış oldu.
