ABD’li Yem Eğitimi ve Araştırma Enstitüsü (IFEEDER), 2017-18 yıllık raporunu yayınladı. Raporda mali anlamda ve projeler bazında geçen yılın önemli noktaları vurgulandı. IFEEDER, a public charity founded in 2009 by the Ameri- can Feed Industry Association (AFIA), released its 2017-18 annual report, providing financial and project highlights for the 501(c)(3) public charity over the past year. “Reflecting on this past year, IFEEDER has continued to take on excit- ing new projects that are aligned with both the needs of the industry and the mission of the Institute,” said Paul Phillips, 2017-18 chair of the IFEEDER Board of Trustees. “We have also focused a significant amount of time and energy into enhancing our consumer communications, which ultimately focus on preserving consumer choice and protecting the animal food industry’s image and license to operate.” The annual report provides details on several IFEEDER projects initiated over the past fiscal year, including: *A first-of-a-kind study that details the animal food man- ufacturing industry’s economic contribution to local, state and national economies; *A report that benchmarked the amount of animal feed consumed by livestock, poultry and aquaculture in the United States; *Two consumer-driven studies on animals raised without antibiotics and under certain poultry production practices; and *Progress on the industry’s global sustainability efforts. In addition to the project updates, the annual report details IFEEDER’s support of two scholarship funds – the Kenny Berg Research and Education Fund and the American Feed Industry Association's Equipment Manu- facturers Committee’s Scholarship Fund – and its priori- ties for the 2018-19 fiscal year. 2009 yılında Amerikan Yem Endüstrisi Birliği (AFIA) tara- fından kurulan hayır kuruluşu derneği IFEEDER, 2017-18 yıllık raporunu yayınladı. Raporda mali anlamda ve proje- ler bazında geçen yılın önemli noktaları vurgulandı. IFE- EDER Mütevelli Heyeti Başkanı Paul Phillips, “IFEEDER, geçtiğimiz yıl sektörün ihtiyaçları ve Enstitü’nün misyonu ile paralel bir şekilde yeni ve heyecan verici projeler ortaya koymaya devam etti,” dedi. Phillips, “Müşteri tercihlerini korumaya ve yem endüstrisinin imajını ve çalışma ruhsa- tını muhafaza etmeye odaklanacak şekilde müşterilerle ilişkileri güçlendirmek için ciddi miktarda zaman ve enerji sarf ettik.” diye konuştu. Yıllık raporda IFEEDER’ın geçtiğimiz mali yılda gerçek- leştirilen aşağıdaki projelerine dair detaylara yer verildi: *Hayvan yemi üretim endüstrisinin yerel ve ulusal eko- nomiye ve devlet ekonomisine katkısına dair türünün ilk örneği bir çalışma; *ABD’de çiftlik hayvanları, kümes hayvanları ve balıklar tarafından tüketilen hayvan yeminin miktarını belirleyen bir rapor; *Antibiyotiksiz bir şekilde ve belirli kümes hayvanı uygulamaları altında yetiştirilmiş hayvanlar hakkında tüketi- ci merkezli iki çalışma ve *Endüstrinin dünya genelindeki sürdürülebilirlik çalışmalarında kaydedilen gelişme. Yıllık rapor, proje güncellemelerine ek olarak, IFEEDER’ın biri Kenny Berg Araştırma ve Eğitim Fonu, diğeri ise AFIA Ekipman Üreticileri Komitesi Burs Fonu olmak üzere iki kuruma verdiği verdiği destekle alakalı detaylara ve 2018- 19 yılı önceliklerine yer veriyor.
