Newman formally announced to members that he will be re- tiring from the association. Newman will continue to serve as president and CEO of AFIA over the next 12 months and will assist with the transition through the end of 2019. AFIA Başkanı ve CEO’su Joel G. The American Feed Industry Association’s President and CEO Joel G. Newman formally announced to members today that he will be retiring from the association effective December 2019. The association has formed a selection committee to facilitate the transition process over the next year and hired Kincannon & Reed to assist in recruiting Newman’s successor. “It has been my privilege to represent the industry and lead AFIA through a period of exciting and significant change,” Newman said. “I am very proud of the many achievements and successes that we have accomplished together. My deepest thanks go to the AFIA members and staff who have supported and made this success possible.” Newman has led AFIA for the past 15 years, in which he has ushered in a landmark era of change. During the early 2000s, Newman worked with members and staff to develop a strategic focus that better aligned the association to meet the future needs of the changing industry and led to the cre- ation of AFIA’s 4 Promises of Member Value. Newman will continue to serve as president and CEO of AFIA over the next 12 months and will assist with the transition through the end of 2019. As part of its succes- sion planning, the AFIA Board of Directors appointed a selection committee in May to lead the recruitment and succession process. Amerikan Yem Endüstrisi Derneği’nin (AFIA) Başkanı ve CEO’su Joel G. Newman 2019 yılının Aralık ayında yü- rürlüğe girecek şekilde istifa edeceğini derneğin üyelerine resmi olarak açıkladı. Dernek 2019 yılı boyunca sürecek olan geçiş dönemini sorunsuz atlatmak için bir seçim ko- mitesi oluşturdu ve Newman’ın halefinin belirlenmesinde yardımcı olması için Kincannon&Reed’i görevlendirdi. Newman konuyla ilgili konuşmasında “Heyecan verici ve ciddi değişimler döneminde sektörü temsil etmek ve AFIA’yı yönetmek benim için bir ayrıcalık oldu.” dedi. Geçtiğimiz 15 yıl AFIA’nın yöneticisi olan Newman önemli bir değişim döneminin temsilcisi oldu. Newman 2000’li yılların başında derneği değişen endüstrinin ge- lecekteki ihtiyaçlarını karşılayacak şekilde düzenlemek amacıyla stratejik bir odak geliştirmek için üyeler ve çalı- şanlarla beraber çalıştı ve AFIA Üye Değerinin 4 Sözü’nün oluşturulmasında öncülük yaptı. Newman 2019 yılı boyunca başkan ve CEO olarak gö- rev yapmaya devam edecek ve yılsonuna dek geçiş sü- resinde destek olacak. Geçiş planının bir parçası olarak AFIA Yönetim Kurulu Mayıs ayında geçiş sürecini yönet- mek amacıyla bir seçim komitesi atadı.
