Bu teknik hizmetler arasında analiz, fümigas- yon, denetim, örnekleme ve tartma bulunmaktadır. Gafta, bu hizmetleri sunan üyelere en iyi uygulama standartlarını ve kodlarını sunmakta ve bağımsız denetim aracılığıyla bunlara uymalarını ve değerlendirmelerini sağlamaktadır. Gereksinimleri karşılayan üyeler, Gafta web sitesinde bulu- nan Onaylı Kayıt Sicili listesine alınır. Aşağıda hakkında daha fazla ayrıntının verildiği üç Onaylı Kaydın her biri için özel şartlar vardır. Her Onaylı Kayıt Si- cilinde, ilgili uluslara- rası tarım ticaretine yönelik bu hizmetleri sağlamak için en iyi uygulama gereksi- nimlerini ayrıntılı bir şekilde açıklayan Uygulama Esasları ve bir Gafta Stan- dardı vardır. Tüm Uygulama Esasları listeleri ve Gafta Standardı, il- gili kategorideki Gafta üyelerinden oluşan ve farklı işletme türlerini ve farklı coğrafi bölgeleri temsil eden bir Uzman Grubu tarafından yazılmış ve geliştirildi. Hizmetlerin kulla- nıcıları ayrıca kamuoyu görüşünün alınması ve çeşitli Gafta Komiteleri aracılığıyla geliştirmeye dâhil edildi. Onaylı Kayıt Sicillerinin her biri için, üyenin tanınmış bir sertifika programına göre bağımsız olarak denetlenme- si şartı vardır. Gafta Denetim, Numune Alma ve Tartım Standardı ve Gafta Analiz ve Test Standardı, tam akredi- tasyonun uygun bir seçenek olmadığı üyeler için alternatif sertifikalandırma temin eder. Gafta Fümigasyon Standardı tarımsal ürünlerin fümigasyonu için tek uluslararası stan- dart olarak kabul görmektedir; alternatifi yoktur. Gafta Standartlarının her biri, uluslararası sertifikalandırma kuru- luşu NSF International tarafından her yıl bağımsız bir şekil- de denetlenmektedir. ULUSLARARASI STANDARTLARIN FAYDALARI Uluslararası standartlar, işletmelerden beklenen en iyi uygulama hakkında mutabakat ve netlik sağlar. Uluslararası standartların Within the Gafta contract forms are specific requirements regarding the technical services which are necessary for the trade of agri-commodities. These technical services include analysis, fumigation, supervision, sampling and weighing. Gafta provides members who deliver these ser- vices with standards and codes of best practice to abide by and assesses their compliance through independent audit. Members who meet the requirements are listed on an Ap- proved Register which is accessed on the Gafta website. There are spe- cific requirements for each of the three Ap- proved Register for which more detail is provided below. Each Approved Register has a correspond- ing Code of Practice, and a Gafta Standard which details the best practice require- ments for delivering those services for in- ternational agri-trade. Each Code of Practice and Gafta Standard have been written and developed by an Expert Group made up of Gafta members in the relevant category and representative of the different types of business and of different geographic regions. Users of the services have also been included in the devel- opment through public consultation and through the various Gafta Committees. Each Approved Register has a requirement for the mem- ber to be independently audited to a recognised certifica- tion scheme. The key international accreditations which are relevant are ISO17020 for inspection companies and ISO17025 for analytical services. The Gafta Standard for Supervision, Sampling and Check Weighing and the Gafta Standard for Analysis and Testing provide alternative certifi- cation for those members for whom full accreditation is not a viable option. The Gafta Standard for Fumigation is be- lieved to be the only international standard for the fumiga- tion of agri-commodities; there is no alternative. Each Gafta Standard is independently audited on an annual basis by international certification body NSF International. BENEFITS OF INTERNATIONAL STANDARDS International standards provide mutual understanding and clarification of the best practice expected from busi- nesses.
