Of course, we didn't get to this point all of a sudden. We car- ried out an intense and tiring process with the ministers of Ukraine and Russia and UN officials. We held extensive consultations to address the concerns of both countries in this sensitive process. I thank Mr. Putin and Mr. Zelenski for their leadership. With ship traffic, we will open a breathing tube from the Black Sea to many parts of the world. The execution of the extremely important plan will be carried out by the joint coordination center to be established in Istanbul. We made a lot of progress at the meeting held in Istanbul 4 months ago. The developments that took place after that meeting fueled the conflicts. We have stated from the beginning that there will be no winners in this war. The conflicts that have been going on for 5 months and their global effects unfortunately confirm our foresight. The later the silence of the guns, the greater the human casualties. War negatively affects all people, including those in the most remote corners of the world. We also believe that this trend is not destined. We want these conflicts to end as soon as possible. I wish that the step we are taking today in Istanbul with the Russian and Ukrainian sides will be a new turning point that will revive hopes for peace. The war will eventually end at the negotiating table. I would like to express my gratitude to everyone who has contributed to the process and brought it to where it is today.” PUTİN VE ZELENKSİ'YE TEŞEKKÜR Erdoğan açıklamasına şöyle devam etti: “Küresel sorun haline gelen gıda enflasyonunun kontrolüne de yardımcı oluyoruz. Elbette bu noktaya bir anda gelmedik. Ukrayna ve Rusya bakanları ile BM yetkilileri ile yoğun ve meşakkatli bir süreç yürüttük. Her iki ülkenin bu hassas süreçteki, endişelerinin gideril- mesi için kapsamlı istişareler gerçekleştirdik. Sayın Putin ve sayın Zelenski'ye sergiledikleri liderlik dolayısı ile teşekkür ediyorum. Gemi trafiği ile Karadeniz'den dünyanın birçok bölgesine nefes borusu açmış olacağız. Son derece önemli planın icrası İstanbul'da kurulacak müşterek koordinasyon merkezi tarafından gerçekleştirilecektir. 4 ay önce yine İstanbul'da yapılan toplantıda mesafe kat etmiştik. O toplantı sonrasına meydana gelen gelişme- ler çatışmaları körükledi. Başından beri bu savaşın kazananı olmayacağını ifade ediyoruz. 5 aydır devam eden çatışmalar ve küresel etkileri ne yazık ki öngö- rümüzü doğruluyor. Silahların susması uzadıkça insani kayıplar da artıyor. Savaş dünyanın en ücra köşesindekiler de dahil tüm insanları olumsuz etkiliyor. Bu gidişatın mukadder olmadığına da inanıyoruz. Bu çatışmaların bir an önce sona ermesini istiyoruz. Bugün Rusya ve Ukrayna tarafı ile İstanbul'da atmakta olduğumuz adımı, barışa yöne- lik umutları canlandıracak yeni bir dönüm noktası olmasını diliyorum. Savaş nihayetinde müzakere masasında sonuçlanacaktır. Sü- recin bugünlere gelmesinde emeği ve katkısı olan herkese şük- ranlarımı sunuyorum.”
