This acquisition sig- nificantly expands De Heus’ production capacity and streng- thens its position in Western Europe, a region where the company has already seen notable commercial growth. Gabor Fluit, CEO of De Heus Animal Nutrition, said this acqu- isition marks a new chapter in their long-term growth strategy. By producing locally in Belgium and France, De Heus aims to grow alongside farmers and supply chain partners while redu- cing its carbon footprint through shorter supply chains. This strategic move reinforces De Heus’ presence in the poultry sector, where it is already the market leader in Belgium, and opens doors to expansion into other livestock sectors. Paul Damen, Managing Director of De Heus Netherlands, highlighted Voeders Huys’ extensive knowledge and strong customer relationships, which provide a solid foundation for delivering high-quality, locally tailored feed solutions. The new production capacity of approximately 250,000 tons per year will help De Heus meet rising customer demand efficiently.
