The upgraded facility com- bines automation, sustainability, and science-driven ap- proaches to support animal health and performance. The upgrade addresses rising global demand for precision nutrition that optimizes animal he- alth, performance, and digestive well-being. “Our Micronutrition & Health Solutions bu- siness is a culmination of our industry-leading capabilities across phytogenics, postbiotics, anti-mycotoxin agents, enzymes and other performance-enhancing nutrition solutions,” said Gilles Houdart, Global Head of Micro- nutrition & Health Solutions. “This investment allows us to work more safely, operate more efficiently and produce more sustainably.” The expansion included six new silos, advanced automa- tion covering 90% of labor in picking, mixing, and loading, and a container-lifting system equivalent to five times the height of Mount Everest each month. Worker safety mea- sures include automated narrow aisle forklifts and noise-re- ducing unloading systems. Environmentally, the facility runs on 100% renewable energy, combining hydropower, solar panels, and biomass heating. The Engerwitzdorf site reflects Cargill’s broader strategy to integrate science-based nutrition with sustainable ope- rations, combining acquired expertise from Diamond V, De- lacon, and Provimi into a unified portfolio that has achieved double-digit growth in recent years. Genişleme kapsamında altı yeni silo, toplama, karıştırma ve yükleme işlemlerinin %90’ını kapsayan ileri otomasyon ve her ay Everest Dağı’nın beş katına eşdeğer bir konteyner kaldırma sistemi devreye alındı. İşçi güvenliği önlemle- ri arasında otomatik dar koridor forkliftleri ve gürültü azaltıcı boşaltma sistemleri yer alıyor. Çevresel olarak tesis, hidrolik enerji, güneş panelleri ve biyokütle ısıtma sistemi ile %100 yenilenebilir enerji kullanıyor.
