Chocolate and cocoa products led the export ran- king, followed by sunflower oil, which rose by 18.9%. Exports of pasta and wheat flour, however, showed minor declines. Ahmet Tiryakioğlu, Chairman of TİM’s Cereals, Pulses, Oilseeds, and Related Products Sector Board, said, “While exports of plant-based products faced limited contraction, Turkey’s cereals sector stood out positively. The 36.3% growth in exports to the U.S. highlights Turkey’s progress in quality standards and product reliability.” Despite the drop in the Iraqi market, the sector ended the year with an ove- rall export increase of around 4%. Tiryakioğlu emphasized the food industry’s strategic role in Turkey’s economy through production, employment, and export performance. With easing pre-emptive demand and price fluctuations, the sector is poised to further support inflation control in 2026. Bu rakam, değer bazında yüzde 3,9’luk artışı temsil ediyor. İhracatta lider konuma çi- kolata ve kakao ürünleri gelirken, ayçiçek yağı ihracatı da yüzde 18,9’luk artışla dikkat çekti. Makarna ve buğday unu ise küçük oranlarda geriledi. Irak pazarındaki daralmaya rağmen sektör yılı yaklaşık yüzde 4’lük büyümeyle kapattı. Tiryakioğlu, gıda sanayiinin üretim, istihdam ve ihracat açısından Türkiye ekonomisinde stratejik bir rol üstlendiğini vurguladı.
