editör editor The 11 th IDMA Istanbul, held from June 25–27, 2026, brought together thousands of professionals from 120 countries, laying the groundwork for a $1 billion business volume. High-level state officials and global association leaders turned the exhibition into the undisputed hub for technology exports and food security. One of the most dynamic and popular highlights of the fair was the IDMA Today newspaper, which we published for the second time this year with its colorful design and professional content. Seeing the newspaper pass from hand to hand with great interest across the halls and forum areas brought us immense happiness. I would like to take this opportunity to wholeheartedly congratulate our team before you, our readers, for their great dedication to everything from sales to editorial content, and design to distribution, bringing this publication to life. The IDMA Forum, organized concurrently with the exhibition, was highly acclaimed with its theme “Resilient Trade, Innovative Milling.” As the Editor-in-Chief of Feed Planet, it was an honor for me to moderate the critical fourth session dedicated to the feed sector. International commodity expert Pedro Nonay offered a striking perspective, defining the Bosphorus Strait, which facilitates the transit of over 30% of global wheat, as the “Hormuz of agricultural commodities,” and pointed out that trade has shifted from a “just-in-time” model to a “just-in- case” strategy. FEFAC Secretary General Alexander Döring also put the EU’s green regulations under the microscope. Cem Taşkaldıran from Ofis Yem stated that Türkiye’s feed production reached 30.7 million tonnes, highlighting that a world-class domestic engineering ecosystem has been developed despite raw material deficits. Finally, Prof. Dr. Nizamettin Şenköylü called upon the state to resolutely protect our locomotive poultry and dairy sectors from public misinformation. As I also emphasized in the closing section of the session, when it comes to feed, from a geopolitical bottleneck in logistics channels to Brussels’ green decisions, and from regulations in Ankara to the attitude of the press and the public, everything is related to everything. Fuarın en dinamik ve ilgi gören unsurlarından biri rengarenk tasarımı ve profesyonel içeriğiyle bu yıl ikincisine imza attığımız IDMA Today gazetesi oldu. Salonlarda ve forum alanlarında gazetenin büyük bir ilgiyle elden ele gezdiğini görmek bizim için çok büyük bir mutluluk oldu. Satışından editoryal içeriğine, tasarımından dağıtımına kadar büyük bir adanmışlıkla çalışan ve bu yayına hayat veren ekibimizi, siz okurlarımızın huzurunda bir kez daha yürekten tebrik ediyorum. Fuarla eş zamanlı olarak düzenlenen İDMA Forum ise « Resilient Trade, Innovative Milling “ temasıyla büyük beğeni topladı. Feed Planet Genel Yayın Yönetmeni olarak, yem sektörüne ayrılan o kritik dördüncü oturumu modere etmek benim için bir onurdu. Uluslararası emtia uzmanı Pedro Nonay çarpıcı bir perspektif sunarak, küresel buğdayın %30’undan fazlasının geçişini sağlayan İstanbul Boğazı’nı tarımsal emtianın “Hürmüz”ü olarak nitelendirdi ve ticaretin “tam zamanında” modelinden “ne olur ne olmaz” stratejisine kaydığına dikkat çekti. FEFAC Genel Sekreteri Alexander Döring ise AB’nin yeşil düzenlemelerini de masaya yatırdı. Ofis Yem’den Cem Taşkaldıran, Türkiye’nin yem üretiminin 30,7 milyon tona ulaştığını ve hammadde açıklarına rağmen dünya standartlarında bir yerli mühendislik ekosistemi geliştirdiğini aktardı. Son olarak Prof. Dr. Nizamettin Şenköylü, devlete, lokomotif konumundaki kanatlı ve süt sektörlerimizi kamuoyundaki bilgi kirliliğinden kararlılıkla koruma çağrısında bulundu. Oturumun kapanış bölümünde de belirttiğim üzere konu yem olunca, lojistik kanallardaki jeopolitik kaynaklı bir sıkışmadan Brüksel’in yeşil kararlarına, Ankara’daki mevzuatlardan basının ve kamuoyunun tutumuna kadar her şey birbiriyle bağlantılı.
